‘Radio Hum’ is the latest release from Egomunk in support for his recently release Only One EP. The track itself is a dark feast of haunting tension: lo-fi beats, dissonant (yet strangely melodic) guitar lines and a semi-spoken, distorted vocal combine to create something worthy of a horror film. Luckily, Robert Beebe is one hand to provide world-class visuals that have previously seen him work with the horror franchise Saw. Egomunk explains that the track is “about one’s own demons and the internal voices needed to defeat them. The animation is a tale of cheeky debauchery”. His range is demonstrated further in the EP, with ‘Islands’ showing off his ability to carefully craft a poignant ballad. - Dan Peeke
